Claude Connector Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy covers the Tacet connector for Claude at https://mcp.tacet.ai/mcp, operated by Tacet, Inc. (“Tacet”). It supplements our Privacy Policy, which covers the Tacet services the connector reads from. Where the two differ on the connector, this policy applies.

The connector is a read-only door into the same scoring service that powers the Tacet portal. It is for retailers who already use Tacet and their authorized staff.

2. Sign-in

You sign in with your Tacet account through Clerk, the sign-in provider the Tacet portal uses, and you choose which of your stores to connect. Clerk issues Claude an access token for your account and that store. Claude sends the token with every request, and the connector checks it every time. The connector never sees your password and does not store the token.

Clerk keeps a record of each connection: the app that asked (Claude) and where it sends you back after sign-in. Claude asks for your email address, your account id, and your store membership, which is how the connector knows which store to answer for.

3. What the connector reads

From Tacet, for the store you connected and no other, the connector reads:

• Store-level scores and analysis: Forward CLV, value tiers, cohorts, growth levers, payback curves, reorder timing, product value, returns, the forward line, and what changed between scoring runs
• Customer-level scores, identified by customer id. A customer’s email address is included only when the question asks for it
• The customer P&L and the daily Tracker, which carry revenue, new customers, ad spend, and subscription figures the store has supplied
• Plays and their results, and the ledger of who approved each play and when. The content of a play’s email is summarized, not returned
• Data status and gaps: what Tacet has received from the store and what is missing

The connector cannot create, change, or delete anything in Shopify, Klaviyo, your returns platform, or Tacet. It only reads, and Tacet’s scoring service refuses any change made with a connector token.

4. What it receives from Claude

The connector receives only what Claude sends when it calls a tool: the tool’s name and its inputs, such as a date range, a sort order, a product name, or a customer’s email address, customer id, or order number when you ask Claude to look one up. It does not receive your conversation, your questions as written, or anything from Claude’s memory, chat history, or your files.

A customer lookup term is passed to Tacet’s scoring service in a request header rather than in the address, so that no request log records it.

5. How the information is used

The connector uses what it receives only to answer the tool call: to check who you are, to find your store, to fetch the figures, and to apply each store’s request limits. It does not use connector traffic to train models, for advertising, or to contact your customers.

6. What it keeps, and for how long

Answers. Nothing from the answers is stored by the connector. They are returned to Claude and not kept.

Operational logs. For each tool call, the connector writes a log line with the tool name, your store’s organization id, the kind of credential, the outcome, the number of rows returned, and how long it took. For a customer lookup it records what kind of identifier matched, never the term itself. It also logs which Tacet address it called (for a single customer or play, that address includes the customer id or play id), the response code, and the time taken. Tacet’s scoring service logs one line per connector request with your store, your account id, and the id of the app that made the connection. Google Cloud’s own request logs record each request’s address, response code, timing, and the network address it came from, which for the connector is Claude’s servers.

These logs never contain your questions, your password or token, or customer email addresses. They are kept in Google Cloud Logging under Tacet’s account for 30 days and then deleted. Only Tacet staff with access to Tacet’s cloud account can read them.

Request counts. To apply each store’s limit of 60 requests a minute and 2,000 a day, the connector counts requests by organization id in memory. The counts are not written to storage and are cleared within a day.

Your store’s data. The scores and analysis the connector reads are held by Tacet under our Privacy Policy and your agreement with Tacet. Using the connector does not change how long they are kept.

7. Who else is involved

• Anthropic operates Claude, the app you chose to connect. Claude sends the requests on your behalf and receives the answers, including any customer-level figures and email addresses you ask for. Once an answer reaches Claude it is handled under Anthropic’s terms and your Claude account’s settings, including conversation retention. Tacet does not receive your conversation.
• Google Cloud hosts the connector and Tacet’s scoring service, and stores the logs described above, in the United States.
• Clerk provides sign-in and issues the tokens Claude uses.

Tacet does not sell data and does not share store data through the connector with anyone beyond these providers and the Claude account you connect.

8. Your choices

• Disconnect the connector in Claude at any time. Claude stops sending requests, and its token can no longer be renewed.
• Ask Claude for customer email addresses only when you need them. Without that request, customers are identified by id.
• Your store’s admin can remove you from the store in Tacet, which ends your access through the connector as well as the portal.

9. Changes

If the connector starts to read something new, keep something new, or make changes in your accounts, we update this policy before the change goes live and revise the date at the top.
