Plain answers.
The literal version of the pitch, for the email you're about to write to your CEO. If a question isn't here, ask us directly and we'll answer it the same way.
What exactly am I buying?
One subscription. Every customer in your Shopify store is re-scored daily on Forward CLV: what they are expected to contribute over the next 12 months, after product cost and expected returns. The scores are written onto your Klaviyo profiles as named properties your team can segment on. Tacet also proposes plays on the customer pools the scores identify. A play runs only after an admin on your side approves it, and every play Tacet sends is measured against a comparison group held back from it. Before you subscribe, we can run a diagnostic on your own data. You keep it either way.
How is this different from a CLV dashboard tool?
Dashboards chart what already happened. Tacet predicts what each customer will contribute next and delivers the scores where your team already works. And when we run an intervention, we measure it against a control and report the verdict, including when the verdict is zero.
Does this need engineering time on my side?
No. Tacet connects to Shopify with read-only access, and connecting Klaviyo takes a sign-in. Scores arrive in Klaviyo through our integration. If you later want Tacet to create discount codes for plays you approve, that is a separate Shopify permission you choose to grant. In a recent controlled trial, the winning flow ran entirely inside the client's existing account with zero new build.
What does it cost?
One plan: $499 a month, which covers scoring for your first 100,000 customers. Above that you pay per customer scored each month: $0.01 each from 100,001 to 300,000, $0.006 each from 300,001 to 750,000, and $0.004 each beyond that. Each rate applies only to the customers inside its band, so a store with 250,000 customers pays $1,999 a month. The first 30 days are a trial. Plays, approvals, and measured results are included, with no fee per play. There is no free plan. Stores that install through Shopify are billed through Shopify. The diagnostic we run before you subscribe carries no charge.
What happens to my data?
Tacet reads your Shopify data and, by default, never writes to your store. It writes scores onto your Klaviyo profiles. It sends nothing to your customers unless an admin on your side approves that specific play. You remain the controller of your customer data and the sender of every message, and Tacet acts as your processor. We never sell your data. If you uninstall, customer-level data is deleted when Shopify's deletion request arrives, 48 hours later. The details are in our Privacy Policy, our Terms, and our Security page.
Does Tacet ever act without my approval?
No. Tacet proposes a play: the audience, the message, the offer, and the send time. Only an admin in your organization can approve it. Tacet staff cannot approve it for you, and a proposal nobody approves expires after 7 days. Once approved, Tacet sends through your own Klaviyo account, leaving out a persistent holdout group, a comparison group, and anyone without marketing consent. Marketing consent stays your responsibility, and Tacet relies on the consent status held in Klaviyo and Shopify. If you have granted the Shopify discount permission, Tacet creates discount codes only inside the limits of your written policy. You can pause everything at any time and cancel a send inside the undo window. A permanent ledger records who approved what, when, and what was sent.
What if my store doesn't have much history yet?
Forward CLV needs enough repeat purchases to be reliable. Where a store is below that line, we say so. Dollar figures are also only as good as the margin behind them: where your Shopify catalog has no product costs, they rest on an assumed rate, and we tell you when that is the case.
Who actually does the work?
When we work together, the engagement is run by the modeling team that built Forward CLV, not handed off to an account layer. You get a shared Slack channel with that team, not a ticket queue.
A second opinion
Don’t take our word for it. Ask an AI to read the site and tell you what to scrutinize.
It opens your assistant with a prompt to review tacet.ai and give an honest, skeptical take. We’d rather you arrive already suspicious.
